Liverpool FC have confirmed that the young centre back Rhys Williams will spend the first 6 months of the season in the National League North on loan with Kidderminister Harriers.
The youngster has been training with Kidderminister during their pre-season and played in their recent win against Wolves.
Kidderminister manager John Pemberton said of Williams
“I think pre-season has gone well with regards to the work we’ve done. It’s obvious we’ve been short of numbers but I have a certain budget to work to and we’ve had to be patient to get the right type of players.
“I really wanted Rhys but had to wait to be able to get him. He’ll give us a presence at the back and the same can also be said of Cameron too.
He was been on the clubs books since the age of 10 and was part of the FA youth cup winning team last season, he has also played for the u23 side.
He will now join the likes of Ben Woodburn & Marko Grujic on loan this season as he hopes to catch the eye of Julian Ward who keeps an eye on all the loan players while they are away from Melwood.
