Liverpool’s backup goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is set for a move back to homeland with a move to Club Brugge all set to be completed within the next few days.

The move is set to cost Club Brugge Β£6.4m with Liverpool now set to sign a backup goalkeeper before deadline day with Adrian being linked earlier in the summer along with Alex McCarthey & Neil Etheridge of Cardiff City.

Belgina outlet Het Laatste Nieuws had reported earlier in the summer that the his agent had held discussions with both Standard Liege & Club Brugge however his wage demands at the time were a stumbling block.

Now with that stumbling out of the way Mignolet is set to end his 6 year stay at the club, he was number one for four of those seasons before Loris Karius took the place between the sticks for the 2017/18 season and after Karius moved away on loan the hopes of Mignolet regaining his number one spot was dashed as Liverpool signed Alisson Becker from Roma.
