Swiss winger Xheridan Shaqiri has spoken of his disappointment in not getting more game time while at Liverpool.
Speaking to Swiss outlet langenthalertagblatt Shaqiri not only spoke on his playing time but also discussed rumours of a bid from Monaco in the summer.
“I have no idea where the items came from.
I do not know about these offers
However when it comes to playing time the former Stoke City man was much more forthcoming.
“I’m disappointed that I did not play anymore.
Nobody likes to sit on the bench, “says Shaqiri.
It’s clear that I want more time.
I have to look at the situation and find a solution.
Shaqiri, 27, joined Liverpool from Stoke City last summer for £13.5m and was getting regular game time up until January, after this period he found game time harder to come by but did start in the Champions league semi-final against Barcelona.
With the European window is still open a move for Shaqiri is still on cards, this would leave Liverpool light in attacking reinforcements with Oxlade-Chamberlain still getting back to match fitness and summer signing Harvey Elliott still only 16 years old.
