Dutch club Feyenoord are ready to snap up young Reds defender George Johnston before the European transfer window slams shut.

Johnston, 20, has yet to make an appearance for Jurgen Klopp’s side and is well down the pecking order when it comes to centre backs, He is a regular in Neil Critchley’s u23 side but is getting to an age where he needs first team football.

Now according to Football Insider dutch club Feyenoord are believed to be offering the Scottish U21 international a quicker route to first team football in the Eredivisie.

He is also wanted on loan by 6 different Championship clubs but with the transfer window closing in the next 24 hours a move to the continent would seem more likely.
