Liverpool winger Ryan Kent is set for a £7m move to Championship club Leeds United after Kemar Roofe completes his move to Anderlecht.
Kent spent last season loan at Rangers picking up the young Scottish player of the year award along the way however any hopes of a further loan move were dashed by Jurgen Klopp when he ruled out any further loans.
Klopp said: “The time is over, I think, for loans, because of his age.
“The players need to find a place where they can settle. A loan is not an option.”
And now during a Q&A session with Phil Kay of The Athletic he confirmed that Leeds would look to sign Ryan Kent but only if the could move on Kemar Roofe within an hour he further tweeted that a move for Roofe was now near complete
If the player was to move it will be interesting to see if Liverpool decide to insert a buyback clause into his contract like they did with Rafa Camacho when he left for Sporting Lisbon.
