It has been a quite transfer deadline day for Liverpool football club with no incomings or outgoing to speak of so far, however that could be about to change with Championship club Reading in discussions with the Reds to bring Ovie Ejaria back to Madejski stadium.

According to The Reading Chronicle reporter Courtney Friday the two clubs are working hard to agree a fee for Ejaira who spent the last season on loan with Reading.

Ejaria, 21, is not part of Reds manager Jurgen Klopp’s plans and is free to leave the club if a fee can be agreed upon. He joined Liverpool as a 17 year old after getting released by Arsenal and after a decent pre-season in 2017/17 season he managed to make his debut in the League cup against Derby and against Tottenham Hotspur in the next round.

The following season he was sent on loan to Sunderland but failed to make an impact as as the black cats tumbled out of the Championship, a further loan at Rangers was cut short last season as he was called back before being loaned to Reading where he impressed in the centre of the park.

He is certainly coming to an age where he now needs to be playing regular first team football and a move to Reading would seem to suit all parties.
