In our weekly feature we will look at all the Liverpool players who are out on loan both at home and abroad and report on how they got on at their new clubs.
Friday 06th August:
Jakub Ojrzyński made his long awaiting competitive debut for Caernarfon Town and kept a clean sheet in the process as they eased passed Ruthin Town in the Nathaniel MG Cup (Welsh league cup) by 3 goals to nil.
Saturday 07th August:
Preston North End got their Championship campaign off with a 4-1 loss at home to Hull City, Sepp Van Den Berg was surprising left out of the starting line up but did come on at half time to slot in as right back. He did get up and down the right flank well but was at fault for Hull City’s 3rd goal as he stood off a cross which was tapped in by the Hull attacker.
Paul Glatzel was the 2nd loanee to make his competitive debut as he lined up for Tranmere Rovers in their opening league 2 encounter against Walsall and could count himself unlucky to be subbed after 65 minutes, however he certainly made an impression in those 65 minutes and came off to a rapturous applause from the Tranmere faithful.
Sunday 08th August:
No place in the Livingston squad for Adam Lewis however Czech keeper Vítězslav Jaroš continued his fine form for St.Patricks Athletic as he helped them to a 4-1 win against Dundalk and pulled off a fine save from Dundalk’s Stanton when the game was still scoreless.
