Liverpool welcome Spanish keeper

Javier Cendon

Liverpool have been training in Austria for their pre-season however Adrian was not the only Spanish goalkeeper at the base, Javi Cendon a 19 year old shot stopper has also been training with the Reds.

With Andy Lonergan leaving the club the Reds are in the market for a 3rd choice keeper, it was only yesterday they were linked with young Brazilian keeper Marcelo Pitaluga however after leaving Villareal, Cendon is now a free agent so would not come with a fee.

Cendon training with Liverpool

It remains to be seen if Liverpool do offer Cendon a contract with Karius, Grabara & Kelleher all still at the club the Reds would seem well stocked in that department.

BTK Opinion

This looks to be a similar move to Andy Lonergan last summer, we have had a look to see what free agents are out there and John Acthenberg would have been aware of Javi Cendon after Liverpool u23s faced their Villareal counterparts in the Dallas Cup last season.
