Liverpool defender Anderson Arroyo has landed in Portugal ahead of a loan move away
Colombian defender Anderson Arroyo could be on his way to Portugal this month.
Tondela FC have expressed an interest in taking 20-year-old centre back Arroyo on a season-long loan.
Liverpool are happy to let Arroyo out on loan once again as he still cannot qualify for a work permit to play in England.
Arroyo has spent the last 2 years out on loan with spells in Spain, Belgium & Czech Republic already under his belt.
He made only 5 appearances for Czech side Mlada Boleslav last season before the league was called to a halt due to covid, previous to that he made 15 appearances for Mallorca B before moving to Gent where he did not play any games.
Renascença reports that Arroyo has been in Portugal since Tuesday and is now about to sign a deal that will see him link up with ex Liverpool coach Pako Ayestarán who is the current manager of Tondela.
Anderson Arroyo signed for Liverpool in 2018 from Bogotá-based outfit Fortaleza CEIF but has yet to make his competitive debut and with his contract running down it is unlikely he ever will.
