Allan Rodriques de Souza joined Liverpool in 2015 from International however the Brazilian midfielder is yet to make an appearance for the club.
De souza, 22, Has been unable to get a work permit since joining Liverpool and has spent every season since joining on loan at different clubs including spells in Finland, Cyprus and Germany but he could not get the move needed which would have increased his chances of getting the work permit.
Speaking to Globo Sports Allan discussed his friendship with fellow Brazilian Firmino but all his loan spells away from the club and how he feels about now being back in his native Brazil with Fluminense.
I see Germany as the second biggest championship in Europe after England.
But I was not happy there.
And when you’re not happy, everything starts to get tough, things start to get boring, no matter how much you’re in a big structure.
Then I took the action of returning to Brazil
Allan went against the advice of his friend Firmino who he himself spent time in Germany before getting his move to Liverpool.
He said “you are crazy, you have to stay in Europe.
This is where the great players stay.
And I said, “It’s no use me staying if I’m not happy.
I need some time near family, I need to breathe Brazil.
Maybe in a few years I’ll be back and we can play together. ”
But does the midfielder now regret going back to Brazil instead of sticking it out in Germany in the hope that he would finally get a work permit.
The happiest moment of my career is now.
I have nothing to complain about.
