Deep down we all love a bit of transfer gossip and where better to get it than Twitter, whether you have your notifications turned on for Paul Joyce or whether you prefer getting your news from IndyKaila, Twitter is the place where all the latest news is broke.

So with that said I wanted to have a look over all of Liverpool’s business this summer to see who broke the news first, would it be a journo or ITK ?

Liverpool’s first signing of the summer was Sepp Van Den Berg and one that was broken by Neil Jones of Goal

Next up we had Harvey Elliott who came in from Fulham, this one went against the grain of others and was broken on a podcast and not Twitter, The person to break the news was Rob Guttman of The Anfield Wrap.

The final in of the summer was that of goal keeper Adrian, this deal was done within 24 hours of Simon Mignolet leaving the club but the first person to break our interest in the player was yet again Neil Jones of Goal.

Taken from Neil’s piece on Goal

There have been so many out’s but below you will see a list of tweets which will show who broke each one.

The deal for Simon Mignolet to Club Brugge was broke by just about every local journo at the same time however Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws were the first to report Brugges interest in the player.

I have not included references to Wilson & Ojo are they were first reported by an outlet that is not mentioned by Liverpool fans.
